Architecture and National Identity

A book designed for Canada Modern to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Canada’s centennial. In 1967, the Canadian government initiated dozens of architectural projects across the country. Known collectively as the Centennial Projects. This publication proposes an historical overview of the venture as well as a detailed presentation of 21 projects with archival photographs and original architectural renderings. The cover art takes it’s inspiration from the logo created in 1967. One of the most interesting design challenges for this project was displaying both French and English in the same publication while giving both equal weight on the page.
