A few fun projects that don’t fit

the mold.

While working with Midwest Common in Detroit I had the awesome opportunity to work with a group of students in the Fate program to design a pair of cleats for Jared Goff to wear for My Cleats My Cause. This project combined my love of teaching, shoes and design all in one. I worked with the students to come up with a theme and translated their pencil drawings into the cleats worn in the Lions first win of the 2021-22 season.

Are you hungry? While working for snack in Toronto we decided to send out an interactive holiday gift – a beautifully screen printed poster. This poster brought to life our company name, fun attitude towards food and the amazing skills of Icarus Studios. FUN FACT: While working at snack my parking space placard didn’t have my name. Instead it said, French Fries.

All cyclists want to look cool while out on the road, track or trails. I have had the amazing opportunity to create some custom designed kit for a five-time track national champion as well as myself.

The only thing Zak loves as much as cycling is the TV show “Twin Peaks”. I was tasked with creating a kit themed around the show that included lots of little Easter eggs only a true fan could find. The result is a fun, bright, dynamic kit that couldn’t be missed in the pack. The kit I designed for myself was clean, happy and definitely added a few watts.

I’ve included some photos of these kits in the wild as well as the flat designs used for production.
